Injured Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo could return back to training earlier than expected as he will on Wednesday be given a comeback date after making a remarkable recovery from a shoulder injury.
Initial diagnosis was that he will be out for eight weeks after the surgery on August 14.
But the 19-year-old’s adviser Chika Akujobi disclosed to MTNFootball.com that: “Kenneth is doing very well, he has made a remarkable recovery, even quicker than expected. He will visit the specialists on Wednesday to know when he could return to action.
Akujobi added that the defender, who has not featured for the Super Eagles since June’s Fifa Confederation Cup, miss playing international football. He has thus far missed Nigeria’s victory over South Africa, Malawi and Burkina Faso. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is to decide on the player’s future as soon as he is fit again.
